Divorcee and single mom Lily Tanner has been managing fine on her own since her husband walked out on her and their two daughters. This was a sweet book with well-balanced themes and realistic emotions. Hill does a fine job of portraying Jake, Nick's nephew, as a realisitc teenage boy who is intelligent but emotionally immature, inexperienced, but who has his heart in the right place.
