A Small Town Tempation by Terry McLaughlin
Back Cover Blurb: Charlie Keene has poured everything she's got into running her father's concrete company, and now her brother wants to sell. Worse, handsome acquisitions specialist Jack Maguire's arrived in town…and he wants to buy. Charlie's worked too hard to let the family firm go.
One delicious dance and an even more surprising dinner later, all bets are off, as Charlie draws Jack into her Carnelian Cove world. But what does he really want—her or her company? And can Charlie ever trust a man in love if she can't trust him in life?
Another winner from Terry McLaughlin.
It took me a few tries to get started reading this one but once I got started I had a hard time putting it down. I absolutely LOVE the way Charlie and Jack bickered. It was a sexy bicker. lol Down to the very last second they were dancing around each other, verbally sparring at each turn and I gotta say, it made for a really fun read. Especially when their verbal sparring melted into steamy kisses. hehehehe
I also enjoyed the little side plot romance between Charlie's mother, Maudie, and Ben. I always wish, though, that side plot romances like this were given their own books. lol
Just a really great read. Can't wait for the next one, featuring Charlie's friend Tess.
