A Soldier’s Homecoming by Rachel Lee (SRS 08 ’08)

Format: Print Books

Ethan comes to Wyoming to meet his father – who is unaware he exists.  Once he gets there, he is picked up by Connie, a local deputy, who gives him a ride into town.  Connie is about to deal with a major life situation, when a stranger approaches her daughter.  Ethan, a former special ops, agrees to work with Connie and the local police to try and solve the situation.  I thought the author did a great job dealing with the issues of a returning soldier.  I enjoyed the story of Ethan and Micah, but the story never really hooked me.  Perhaps it is because I have only read one or two of the Conrad County books.  It was a good story, just not a great one. Totals – 124- 86 Harlequin, 26 Non-Harlequin, 13 audio, 4 re-read TBR Challenge – 20 out of 111 TBR2 Challenge – Books Acquired – 78 books, 70 books read, 41 library books (111 total print) NFM

TBR--The Born Readers

So, is this a new

series of Conrad County books?  I've not read any CC's in a couple of years?

Yeah, the man was Micah's

Yeah, the man was Micah's unknown son.  I had not read a lot of the earlier CC books, so perhaps I would have enjoyed it more if I had.
