This was a great story. I highly recommend it. It's about a soldier, Captain Ray Hughes, who returns home from Iraq after getting a "Dear John" letter from his wife. They have a 3 year old son together, TJ. His wife abandoned him to Ray's parents before cleaning out their house and leaving him with almost nothing to move in with anohter soldier. Ray meets his next door neighbor, Chrissie Evans, when she brings him something to eat and drink to welcome him home. He doesn't like her for a while because she had been a friend (really an acquantaince instead of a real friend) to his wife, and he thinks she got his wife interested in single life. Little by little, they get to know each other, fall in love, and end up getting married in the end.
This book also contained a relationship with another couple, Paul and Rita Red Horse, who were in an onload read very recently. It also told their story, which was also a great one.
