The Soldier's Homecoming

Format: Print Books

I had the priviledge of hearing Donna read a scene from this book at the Central Calgary library. Not a dry eye in the house, let me tell you. What an emotional story, with characters you'll never forget.

RE: THE SOLDIER'S HOMECOMING by Donna Alward

The Soldier's Homecoming is one of my favourites!  No doubt there wasn't a dry eye in the place!  Donna sure wrote a "winner" with this one.  She also happens to be one of my favourite Authors.  I have received numerous personal emails from her, in addition to reading her blog, reading her newsletter, and reading messages she writes here.  Wink

As a USMC Vet that came home from the first Iraq War with "head problems", I can say that Donna treated the matter well.  During wartime, Authors either "gloss" it all over and make standing up for America  and our friends "way too glamorous" than what it really is, or so untrue that it's hopelessly negative.  Donna's take on the Soldier's Homecoming was real -- it was believable.  Cool
