Shy Kara deMontaine accepts a proposal of convenience from Count Guillermo de la Cruz only to find out he proposed to get even with a previous mistress. When she falls in love with Gui she runs away. Gui has to charm her back and convince her he really is in love with her. Kara’s confidence builds throughout the book and Gui oozes understanding and sex appeal. Satisfying conclusion. NFM
