Kendall Clarke enters a strange hotel suite when she is locked out of her own in order to avoid running into her colleagues wearing just her slip. The suite belongs to Dylan Hargreave, Celebrity NASCAR driver, and he mistakes her for an actress hired to attend his ex-wife wedding with him. Kendall, who was to receive an award that night, has just been dumped by her fiancé and colleague because he has gotten another colleague pregnant and wants to marry her instead. Kendall has never done anything wild in her life but decides to go with it. She attends the wedding and in return Dylan attends her award banquet. After refusing her award, she finds out the next day that her boss wants her to take a break followed by a demotion. Dylan invites her on the tour while she thinks about it.
This is a fast paced quite humorous story. I am not a NASCAR fan but if you are looking for something new to read this is a good bet. This is the second NASCAR book I’ve read and I will be reading more. I don’t think I will become a fan but will pass the book on to my niece-in-law as she is a huge fan.
