The second in the His Dark Materials trilogy follows the continuing adventures of Lyra as she seeks out her father in an alternate dimesion. Stumbling upon a boy named Will from a dimesion much like ours, the pair face unimaginable dangers and impossible odds as they try to find their way home and bring harmony to all the worlds.
If you haven't read this series, make it a must-buy. And make sure you have the third book handy once you've finished reading this one: the cliffhanger ending makes it impossible to put down.
