Series:

Liberty Jones fell in love with Hardy Cates when she was fourteen and three quarters and he was seventeen. However, Hardy wasn't going to let even love stand in his way of his ambition to escape the poverty of his childhood. He had left town - and Liberty broken hearted. But Liberty is a survivor and determined to make a better life for herself and little sister.

Moving to the big city she lands herself a job and an unlikely friend in billionaire tycoon Churchill Travis. But though Churchill's son is convinced she's nothing but a gold digger looking  for a sugar daddy, their relationship goes deeper than most people think.

But just as Liberty and her sister begin to feel settled in their new lives, Hardy comes back into their lives.....

I didn't think I would enjoy reading this book but I really got into the story and was eager to discover the secrets that Liberty was unaware of and how would Liberty handle the return of Hardy her childhood love.

It was inspiring to see a young girl like Liberty be a parent to her younger sister. Although her mother was there, Liberty was the main parent for her sister. How the sisters relationship built and how Liberty matured and handled various knocks that life gave.

Her romance with Churchill's son was sweet to read. Churchill didn't like Liberty at first but his opinion soon changed. His understanding of Liberty was mindblowing. I wish there were more men in the world like that whose faith and trust in their parters or signiicant other is absolute and nothing can make it waiver.

Secrets are revealed in the last few pages which stun Liberty and make her question her whole life and her sister's. I would have enjoyed more scenes between Liberty and Churchill's son. They were really great together.

The difficulties single parents have in dating is explained and addressed in the story. I absolutely loved reading this book.

Looking forward to reading Blue-Eyed Devil which is Hardy's story with his heroine.
