+A beautifully told story of loss and healing. Laura Iding was recommended and I’ll keep her on my watch list. She even makes the little stories of the surgeons’ patients heart rending.

• Naomi, a pediatric surgeon, wants a baby. With a failed marriage behind her she’s ready to have a baby on her own.

• Rick, her new boss and also a pediatric surgeon, is still coping with a loss. He’s drawn to Naomi but doesn’t do relationships. Naomi doesn’t do flings.
