Sweet Water is a contemporary romance about the small town of Agua Dulce, Texas which is bought by a land developer when it is sold on Ebay. The eight inhabitants of the town provide fascinating character studies as the developer, Terry Ledger at first considers evicting them all to make way for his golf course and condominium dream, but then as he gets to know them through Marisa, the town's unofficial leader, he decides to help them transform the town with him.

I enjoyed this story. The characters, with their imperfections and fears, became real people to me.
