For financier Nick Papaeliou it had been a very odd evening; his now exgirlfriend had made a scene at the small dinner party they had attended, having left he found himself sharing a coffee with a beautiful young woman who had been a waitress at the party, and finally when he took Lily home he was brutally berated by the woman’s very protective sister. Rose Taylor isn’t sure what to make of the gorgeous man her sister brought home, except that he’s far too good-looking and wealthy to have honourable intentions. The two women are polar opposites; Lily is tall, thin and all over pleasant; Rose is short, curvy and not shy to speak her mind. Nick doesn’t impress Rose, and that’s something he’s definitely not used to. And between Lily’s sweet and trusting nature and Rose’s quick temper and disapproval, Nick finds himself pleasantly off balance. He’s enjoying himself. Helping Lily in her dreams to be an actress, Nick introduces her to all the right people and to her credit she takes it from there and lands her first movie role taking her to America. For the first time in her life Rose is on her own, and at a loss without her sister to take care of. That is until the roof literally starts to cave in on her. Using Lily’s concern for her as an excuse Nick pops in on her and discovers her house in an unlivable shambles and Rose at her wits ends. So he offers her a job researching and planning a new venture for him, a posh one of a kind hotel to be located in Borneo. As the research would involve staying at hotels and the pay more than generous enough to cover the repairs, Rose has no choice but to accept. But when her research actually takes her and Nick off to Borneo for an extended stay, she finds it hard to concentrate solely on her job and spending far too much time watching her gorgeous boss. Which is fine with Nick because he’s ready to give in to his attraction for this curvaceous spitfire and show her who really is the boss.

This was a delightful laugh out loud read. Rose may be out of her element when she’s thrust into the company of the jetsetters, but Nick is equally off kilter when he’s faced with Rose’s brutal honesty. She doesn’t hold her punches and gives Nick’s ego a bit of a bruising. Though Nick is definitely an alpha take-charge hero, Rose keeps pulling the rug from under his feet. And when it comes time to head back to England, Nick finds himself on the receiving end of the gentle brush off instead of giving it. Ms. Williams has penned a wonderfully refreshing love story with characters that are believable and honest in their emotions. Though I wish the ending hadn’t been quite so rushed, I found myself very satisfied with their HEA.

I agree with you!

I agree with you on this one.

w-w-w

Ooooooh!  I loved this

Ooooooh!  I loved this one.  Rose was so fiesty!  I loved how she pulled the rug out from under Nick and shocked him.  (He wasn't used to women treating him the way she did).  Loved the chemistry and dynamic between them both.

I absolutely loved the ending myself Kat.  I loved it purely for the hero's reaction to the heroine's news.  That was one of the best reactions I've EVER read to that kind of news.  It was very unique.

Hi Katherine

I read another review on this one and it sounded so good that I had to check it out. I loved the excerpt so it hopped into my cart and is on its way to me now. I can't wait to read it.

Margie :)

Hi Janet

We posted at the same time. It was your review that I read. This one just sounds so good. I am anxious to get my copy.

Margie, I'm sure you're going to really enjoy this one .... it's quite refreshing ... not the usual ruthless revenge Presents that I tend to pick up ...... goes to show just how diverse the line really is

Janet, I loved the ending with Nick's reaction ... I just wished that after his reaction there could have been a bit more ... it was a rather abrupt "the end"

www, have you reviewed this one yet? ... can't find it if you have .. so glad you liked it too!
