This book was absolutely delicious! Michelle was able to capture so many emotions that as a reader, i couldn't help but feel. Fear, anger, frustration, sorrow. I cried, I laughed, and just plain old felt it all.
Annis is a wonderful heroine, strong, yet soft and kind. Caring and courageous. She is faced with tough choices in her life. Forced to chose between what she's known, and love.
Haakon is scrumptious *shiver*. He's a strong man, his pursuit of Annis is fantastic. He is ALL male, the leader of his household, mentor to his brother, faithful subject to his king, and Master of his slaves! He doesn't want to let Annis go.
At one point, I stopped reading, in disbelief that so much was going wrong for Annis and Haakon. I had to count pages to reassure myself that there was time for them to achieve their happy ending. Of course, they did! Can't wait for the sequel (hint hint) on Haakon's half brother, and to see how Annis and Haakon are doing. I was reluctant to close the book at the end, I loved the characters that much, I didn't want to say goodbye.

sp leased you enjoyed it
I am so pleased you enjoyed Taken.
I have written two other Viken books. Viking Warrior, Unwilling Wife is out in the UK now and the other one is sitting on my editors' desks. They are Vikkar and Ivar's stories. I still haven't done Thrand, but have an idea for it. It all depnds on my editor.
But thank you for making my day.
