Taken by the Viking- Harlequin Historical (Viking)

Taken By the Viking

I think my package of books came from a slow boat from China but when it arrived I had to read Michelle's book first. I was not disappointed! I love to be immersed in a story/time and this book did it for me. I could smell the smoke from the Viken fires and felt the linen cloth that scratched Annis' skin. Also, the book was a little hotter than Michelle's regencies.Wink

The love story was exquisitely done and believable because it was not rushed. The hero, Haakon, hovered between attraction and duty and that kept me turning the pages. The book was a nice break from the other historicals I read and it is definitely a keeper. (Of course I can't wait to read Michelle's next regency!)

Thank you

I am pleased you enjoyed Taken,Angel. The next book in the series will be out in the US in DEc 08 -- Viking Warrior, Unwilling Wife.

Yes, it is hotter than A Christmas Wedding Wager. At Christmas time, people are looking for sweeter reads. Hence, I agreed with my editor that it should be a sweeter read. The sequel to ACWW  -- An Impulsive Debutante is about in the same heat  range as Taken as it does not have Christmas as a hook.

Thank you again for making my day.

Love the title

An Impulsive Debutante. Was it the editor's choice? Just the title has me ready to read the book.

Regardless of the time period I read am starting to see an outline of how I need to move the story/romance along for a shot with Harlequin. Thank you for all the wonderful advice you give on these boards. Your generosity and wisdom is appreciated.

titles

An Impulsive Debutante was the editors' choice.Apparently it took them ages to come up with Impulsive. My working title was Taming of the Debutante.

Thus far, I have kept  two titles -- Gladiator'sHnour and A Question of Improrpeity. It all deoends.

Yesterday, the sequel to A Question of Improriety was titled -- Impoverished Miss,Convienent Wife. It is a very hooky title but brings out certain marketable elements. Cinderella stories are periennelly popular.

I've enjoyed

all of Michelle's books and can understand why you picked hers first.

Hehehe, great title for a book, Michelle. :)
