The second book in Allison's Prison Break trilogy. A blizzard hits a remote Montana valley and strands a boy scout troop in the wilderness. Romance writer Joanna Sutton is capable of spearheading the rescue effort, aided by some of the guests from her family's lodge. But one of the guests is a prison escapee, fixated on Joanna. When Joanna finds out that not one, but two escaped convicts are hiding out at her lodge she does everything she can to spare the lives of the innocent guests and children, along with the help of the local police and the FBI.
Allison is another auto-buy for me. She delivers intense, action-packed suspense with just enough romance and a happy-ever-after ending that leaves me waiting for her next book.
