Then Come Kiss Me by Mary Burchell c1958 HR

Lauren Victoria
Format: Print Books

Marina led a quiet and repressed life with her austere aunt and her husband. In her diary she wove a romantic fantasy life centred on her Nicholas Crome - the fact she had never met him or spoken to him did not deter her. After her aunt found her diary - open at the last entry  "June 4th. Today he kissed me for the first time." her uncle summoned Nicolas to the house. Marina met him as he approached and explained the whole situation. His solution- a pretend engagement.
Her fantasy love became very real yet there was the sproblem of Nicolas's Glamourous (and determined) step-sister Coralie.

I envy you

the time you've had to read all these Mary Burchells. I'll read one of your reviews and wonder if that book is in my pile of 35 Mary Burchells . . . and I probably won't have time for a good read-fest for a really long time. sigh. I assume since you're still reading them that you're enjoying them?
