Touch the Dark by Karen Chance 06/06 Roc Unabridged Audio

debkc3
Format: Audiobook
Series: Other

Thanks to Kelley I finally got to this one. I've had it since it first came out in paperback, as it sounded so good but as with so many others it's been gathering dust on my TBR shelves. Having the talent or curse to see the future and talk with spirits makes Cassandra attractive to both ghosts and the undead. When the fiend that she escaped from finds her...

Cassie turns to the vampire senate for help, which puts her working for a seductive master vamp. Is the price he's asking more than Cassie is willing to pay. Very enjoyable read and I'm glad to finally get it read. So Kelley do you have the next one in audio too? May I please borrow it, if you do?

Touch the Dark by Karen Chance...

Deb, I wasn't sure if I had read this one or if it was one of the Karen Chance books that I had on my TBR... but this is the one that I read.  I don't remember a lot about it ~ yet ~ but I do remember that I loved it so much that I went out and got whichever book from the series that was out.  I've now got two of them; they're sitting on the desk beside as I type...  I'm going to move them up in the reading order... like the next two books read?

Tantalizing review Deb... thanks for the reminder!

I thought you'd enjoy that

I thought you'd enjoy that one Deb. I love the series and I love Karen's writing. Which reminds me I have her new book (the first in a new series) sitting here to review!

Book 2 is also available in audio and I just ordered that one earlier tonight. Book 3 comes out in audio next month and I preordered it. :-)

KaLyKo - There are three books in the series. Touch the Dark is first. The second is Claimed by Shadow and the third is Embrace the Night. Book 4, Curse the Dawn is due out in April. And while it is part of the Cassie Palmer series, it's starts a second trilogy in the series.

Karen has also written a novella in the On the Prowl anthology that while it is not about Cassie, it takes place in the same world. She also has a short story in Mammoth Book of Vampire Romance which I believe features one of the vamps from the Cassie Palmer books. And she also wrote a story for the Wolfsbane and Mistletoe anthology. I've not yet read the stories in Mammoth or Wolfsbane yet though

OK now

I'm ticked. I've tried three times to write something here and each time it throws me out for some reason. Kelley I'm glad you loaned me this one and I'm looking forward to the others. I've bought 12 books in the last two days. Insider's Guide by Ward and a Mercedes Lackey Valdemar book Foundation. I love her Valdemar World. Kathy will be looking for some reviews in the future for her others. I'd better get busy or you'll beat me reading them.

Hi Deb, I really enjoyed

Hi Deb, I really enjoyed this one as well, and look forward to reading book#2 one day. But first i need to buy myself a copy it seems, i thought i already had. To many books by chance? Wink

Kathy D

Sometimes

I buy doubles cause I forget I've already gotten one and it ticks me off. It really ticks me off when I know I have a book but can't find it. That comes of too many places to stash my piles. Sometimes I have to hunt where I put things.

duplicates

I do the same with duplicates and forgetting where I stashed my books.  Ugh!!

I do it al the time too. But

I do it al the time too. But with me it happens a lot with print versus audio, especially for HQ books. Since we can't find out a month ahead of time what will be released in audio, I end up buying the print book then a few weeks later the audio is released. And it's usually a book I would rather do in audio. I know it's not HQ's fault they can't tell us. They know ahead of time what's being released in audio. But Audible won't release details like that and therefore HQ is not allowed to release the info publically either.

I wish

Audible had a comments section where we could request more books in audio. I like all of a series to be available, not just some of them.

yeah and I've used that on

yeah and I've used that on Audible many many times. LOL But I guess I'm a minority since most of what I ask for they don't get.

We could start

our own club cause I feel the same. I read a few of the Blaze authors too but most of the ones they do in audio I don't read and the ones I want aren't available in audio.
