This is the first book in the second trilogy of her Noah Bishop series.  You don't have to have read the first set to read this one.  If you like the paranormal with your mystery, this is a book for you.  I actually listened to it a few years ago, and was happy in the fact that I didn't remember who the killer was to about 2/3 of the way thru.  I did remember the first chapter though.  Maybe because of the impression it made on me when I listened to it the first time.  I don't want to give all the good stuff away, but I will tell you that Maggis is an empath.  Lets just say, you don't want her to walk in a room where any of the victims have died. This is definitely a series I recommend.
