Trial By Fire

This is the first in a series about the firefighters at Station 5 in Sugarland, Tennessee.  Howard Paxton is a paramedic and fireman who has nightmares from his childhood.  When he meets Katherine at a fire he is instantly attracted to her.  They are trying to work out a relationship while someone is killing women and leaving them so that Howard's team finds them.  There is a good mystery along with the romance.

You are introduced to the whole team and there are many subplots that should be straightened out in future books.  The bad part is that the next book does not come out until May of 2009.
