Someone at our local Romance Readers Luncheon suggested Millie Criswell to me. The Trials of Angela is one of a group of connected books (Mad About Mia, What To Do About Annie). It's right in the middle, but aside from a few times forgetting who Joe was, it explained the large cast of characters well. It made me want to hunt down the rest of the books, which is a very good sign I think.
The book reminded me of a sitcom, and because there are other stories with the same characters, I'd bet I'll like each one more. Kind of like how those favorite sitcoms grow on you...
