Cilla McGowan was a child star and the granddaughter of a well-known movie star who died at 39. After dabbling at many things she finds that she really enjoys rehabing houses.
She comes to her grandmother's long neglected home and realizes she really wants to rehab it and turn it into a home for herself. She meets her graphic artist neighbor Ford Sawyer and is strongly attracted to him.
As her some of her rehab work is destroyed and she is personally assaulted, and her relationship with Ford deepens, she finds she has many decisions to make regarding her life.
Although the story was a little long I enjoyed the development of the main characters and even the secondary characters.
