This is a part of a culinary mystery series. Chloe Carter is having a hard time finding chances to get together with her boyfriend, chef Josh Driscoll. She's studying for grad school finals and he's working long hours at a new restaurant. Early one morning Chloe finds the body of one of the restaurant's employees in a friend's truck. Chloe is determined to prove her friend, who is her best friend's fiancee, had nothing to do with the murder. As Chloe starts working to clear his name, the murderer starts working to make sure his crime will remain hidden. That includes making sure if Chloe finds out anything she won't be around to tell anyone about it.
