Twilight

I started this story after the recommendation of a good friend of mine.  Bella is a 17 year old who moves to Forks, Washington where her father lives after her mother remarries.  Bella isn't thrilled, but is willing to stick it out for a while.  Then she meets Edward and is completely (and perhaps unrealistically) enthralled by him.  Edward tries to avoid Bella, but eventually gives up.  They become involved and Edward doesn't try too hard to keep what he is from Bella.  All is going well until a strange vampire comes to town and decides to hunt Bella.  She runs, Edward protects, and the story comes to a fairly predictable conclusion.

I could tell that this was the author's first book.  But it was interesting enough that I'll continue with the series and hope to see her grow and develop as an author.
