I'll admit it's taken me a while to be drawn into the series, but then my daughter's friends and their mothers started to talk about it and I decided that if I was going to let my daughter read them, that I had to read them first.

I was shocked when I could not put the book down. I haven't gotten this into a YA since I was one myself, and even then, I preferred reading a Harlequin.

I'm continuing to read the series ahead of my daughter and so far so good. This is a romance, a coming-of-age and this is also about fitting in, first love and falling in love with the bad boy. I love the Vampire world Stephenie Meyer created and I greedily anticipate each book in the series.
