Twisted by Andrea Kane

This is a new Romantic Suspense by AK.  The story revolves around Sloane, a former FBI agent who left the job due to an injury.  She reconnects to a former lover and current FBI Agent, Derek, when she is hired by a former childhood friend’s parents to discover what happened to her – she disappeared 10 months ago.  As Sloane investigates the disappearance, it soon becomes clear that there has been a pattern of girls disappearing; can she solve the mystery before any others disappear and where are they?   Excellent suspense, the villain didn’t totally surprise me, but there were enough red herrings, that I was kept off balance for quite awhile.  The entire story was intriguing, especially the motivation of the killer.  The romance wasn’t as strong, but I really enjoyed the entire book.  I know she is writing a sequel to this, but I am not sure who it will be about, however, I will be reading it. Totals – 87- 61 Harlequin, 19 Non-Harlequin, 7 audio, 3 re-read TBR Challenge – 14 out of 80 TBR2 Challenge – Books Acquired – 49 books, 50 books read, 30 library books (80 total print) NFM

Hi Cady, I haven't tried

Hi Cady, I haven't tried this author yet, but her books do quite often catch my eye.

This one sounds really interesting to me, glad you enjoyed it so much. I'm finding i can handle alot less romance in books these days, but i do prefer some hint of a relationship or feelings in there somewhere.

Hi Cady

I just found out she had this new book coming out then I forgot about it again. I'm glad to hear it was good. I so wish she would do another historical but, like Julie Garwood, it looks like she is into contemporary now and kind of getting away from romance.

Kathy - There is a definate

Kathy - There is a definate romance in this book - I jnust didn't think it was as strong as the suspense.  I really enjoyed this one.

Margie - Strangely enough, I think I enjoy her contemps more.  I haven't read a lot of her historicals, I think only 2 or 3, so maybe it was just that is what got me into her.  I got mine from my library, hope yours has it in soon.

Hi Cady

I agree that her contemps are really good. Still, I would really enjoy reading another historical by her. Her historicals do have some suspense but have heavy romance in them. Maybe that is why I miss them.

Margie :)

I find that often with

I find that often with many suspence these days, the romance comes second to the suspence story, but i'm finding the older i get, the more i don't mind that, and barely notice it anymore. But i sure do notice if there is NO romance at all. lol

Margie - You are right on

Margie - You are right on the couple of historicals I read by her, they were more romance less suspense.

Kathy - I am with you, I don't mind less romance, but I need some.  I want the option of a relationship.
