Two novellas to equal one book. **Warning: Second cover/book is sexually graphic**
Homecoming [Darklands Prequel] by Autumn Dawn (New Concepts Publishing, 2006)
Copied Blurb:
She can feel it in the air--they're coming for her. She fears the wolf in her blood--he is the king of them all. Can a woman who fights her inner beast let the master of the hunt rule her, too? Rating: Contains graphic sexual content and mild violence.
My Review:
I enjoyed Homecoming, although not as much as Teasing Danger, the first book in the series. This one doesn't stand alone well, which the author noted at the beginning of the book. It is truly a prequel, written to give readers the story of the h's friend from Teasing Danger. I would recommend this story, so long as you read Teasing Danger first.
My Rating: 3.5
Cyber Sex: Denial of Service by Mandy M. Roth (New COncepts Publishing, 2006)
Copied Blurb:
Admiral Jonas Myers was only looking for a brief break from Star Union Command. He never expected to find a pleasure droid that made his pulse race. He also never expected to fall in love with her. Nora has two options, marry an abusive used parts dealer of her controlling brothers choosing or flee, risking punishment by death. Wanting one night of freedom even at the cost of her life, she decides to make a run for it. Little did she know she'd be rushing into the arms of an Admiral--the one man capable of saving her life at the risk of losing her heart. Rating: Extremely erotic, contains EXPLICIT sex and language--Not to be confused with other works by author.
My Review:
Well, with a warning like that in the synopsis, how could I resist??
Very quick and entertaining story!
My Rating: 3.5

I think
I think I read another book in this series too. I'm pretty sure, anyway it's been awhile but I still have the books so I'll check. I remember I enjoyed them.

Hey Deb!
I think when I posted Teasing Danger, you replied there saying you read it and the following book. The one that is about a girl who goes and visits her grandmother?
After I read Teasing Danger,I went and bought the rest of the series. Now I am really glad I did, since Number One does not seem to be available anymore, as well as number four. I think New Concepts Publishing only has the rights to the stories for so many years (maybe five?) and then the rights revert back to the author and they are free to do with it what they will. I am not sure if that is the way it is with all publishers?? But I have noticed several NCP books go off the market, when I was waiting to buy them, until I had the money, or there was a good sale.
ANyways, I am looking forward to the rest of the series!

For awhile I was
buying quite a lot from them but I've quit going to their site so I'm not tempted. I've read a lot of good books though such as Michelle M. Pillow, her Var Lords were really good and Jory Strong.

Hey Deb!
I am kind of addicted to NCP books, much like I am Harlequin books. I have read, and really enjoyed, a Michele M. Pillow book, I believe it was The Barbarian Prince, the first of the Dragon Lords books.
I love Kaitlyn O' Connor and Desiree Acuna stories, and just bought a Tracey Kitts book, called Red that looks like it will be a good read.
I need to look into Jory Strong, as I havent heard of her before.

The Barbarian Prince
was good and so were the others in that series. I've read quite a few of Kaitlin O'Connor's books. Angelique Anjou is another I've read and enjoyed. I haven't read the other author you mentioned.

Hey Deb!
I have a few of Angelique's books, but haven't read them yet, they do look really good. Which Kaitlyn O'Connor books have you read? Desiree Acuna is more erotic than most.

I skim some
of the sex scenes that get too raunchy for me. Cyborg, Armagedon, and a few of her earliest ones. I have them boxed up so will have to pull them out and check.

Hey Deb!
Yeah, I can see how some of the scenes can get a bit out there, for sure. And O'Connors later releases tend to have more than one H, especially the CyberRevolution series. But for some reason, I find them quite appealing
.
