In 'A Dry Creek Wedding', Rene Mitchell is leaving Mule Hollow after her neighbor proposes to her for a 'practical' marrange. Unfortunately, her car breaks down and she is rescued by Clay Preston. As they drive from Texas to Montana, they get to know each other better. When they arrive in Dry Creek during a blizzard, Clay finds himself playing hero to a stranded couple and Rene finds herself falling for Clay. It was great to see the continuation of Glory, Matthew and the mischievious twins (who are all grown up).

In 'A Mule Hollow Match', we find Rene's cousin, Paisley Norton, fighting her attraction to Trace Crawford. Of course, it doesn't start out that way. She blames him for Rene leaving town and doesn't want to have anything to do with him. But he needs her help. His niece is coming to live with him and he needs help - really needs help.
