The last book in the Million Dollar Secrets miniseries explains the motivation behind Liza Skinner's lawsuit agains her former friends and coworkers. Her ex-boyfriend has been blackmailing her and stalking her to make sure she isn't holding out on him. This makes it hard for her to develop a relationship with Dr. Evan Gann, the doctor who acts as a consultant for a show which films next to the show she used to work for. However, she decides to go for happiness with the doctor in spite of everything. Will their budding relationship survive when he finds out the truth about what has been going on in her life?
Having read some of the other books in this miniseries, I was definitely looking forward to reading this one to find out the impetus for the lawsuit as well as what happened to make Liza disappear without contacting her best friends. While blackmail was a good explanation, what the ex-boyfriend was using as blackmail seemed really weak and made Liza seem lacking in common sense. So, while I enjoyed the book, I was somewhat less enthused by the heroine herself. Still, I would definitely recommend it to anyone who has read this series.
