Wicked Fantasy by Nina Bangs

In her final book about the Castle of Dark Dreams, Nina Bangs focuses on the last McNair brother, Conall O'Rourke, and pairs him with the descendant of his enemy, Sean Kavanagh.

Gerry Kavanagh, Sean's descendant, comes into Conall's life when she tracks a shape-shifting thief to Sparkle's new club, Wicked Fantasy, just outside the walls of the Castle of Dark Dreams. Conall helps her catch the thief before learning her name, and then things start getting interesting.

Conall was cursed by Morrigan, a goddess of war, to watch over and protect Sean's descendants after he killed Sean, a favorite of hers. It is this curse that complicates his attraction to Gerry, not to mention the fact that she is a vampire, which means he'll be protecting her centuries to come.

It's a good thing that he's been shadowing her every move, though, as someone has made numerous attempts on her life since her appearance at the Castle of Dark Dreams. She and Conall work together to figure out why a mysterious man, known as Dell, is trying to kill her, all while fighting their attraction to each other because of Morrigan, who would be displeased with Conall's happiness.

Watching the two of them work around all of the obstacles constantly being thrown in their way was a lot of fun. These are two very strong characters who truly learn the meaning of compromise and trust. Their story was definitely a great ending for this series.
