Wild Hunt by Lori Devoti (Nocturne, Jun 08)

I've already raved over and over about Lori's first two books in this miniseries, Unbound and Guardian's Keep. This third installment is just as spectacular. I never thought I'd be interested in a love story between a hellhound and a Valkyrie, but Lori just makes the world so believable that you can't help but be swept up in the emotions, the drama, the love story.

If you haven't read Unbound, I strongly recommend you read it before reading Wild Hunt, because the hero from Unbound (Risk) is the father of this book's hero, Venge. Without the Risk/Venge backstory, this won't be as rich an experience for you. But I would argue that you could read Guardian's Keep at any time - the order for books 2 & 3 doesn't seem quite as important. That being said, I did read them in order - I'm a bit particular that way.

I think Venge might be my favorite hero to date. And that's saying a lot because Kol and Risk were both super-hot.

Overall this was another brilliant story by Lori and I'm a definite "Devoti" of her work. (Sorry, but I just had to make the bad pun!)
