Jenny Majesky had recently lost her beloved grandmother and now the only home she ever knew caught fire and burnt to the ground on the longest, coldest night of the year. All her memories, all her grandmother's hand-written receipes, everything was destroyed. The local police chief, Rourke McKnight, took the badly shaken Jenny home with him. This was the start of a series of flashbacks for Jenny and Rourke who have known each other most of their lives and who have been in love with each other most of that time.
The next in "The Lakeshore Chronicles," this book uncovered long-kept secrets in the town of Avalon. I've read "Summer on Willow Lake" and was immediately taken back to my childhood and going to camp. Unfortunately, I couldn't connect to this book in the same way and so I give it a B+.
