Working Man, Society Bride by Mary Nichols

Format: eBook

Blurb: Well over six feet tall, with broad, broad shoulders, he was the best-looking man Lady Lucinda Vernley had ever seen--and the most insufferably rude!

With her family expecting her to make a good marriage according to her station, how could she possibly be fantasizing about a man she had seen working on her father's estate? It was tempting, though, to dream of a world where there were no social boundaries or rules.

Myles Moorcroft didn't dress the gentleman, but by his manner there was something about him that had Lucy well and truly attracted and intrigued....

A very sedate romance. The chemistry between Lucy and Myles is almost instant, this is a story of love at first sight. But Nichols keeps their actions within the boundaries of the time period, giving it an authentic flavor. Especially as Lucy stuggles with what her parents want versus what she wants. There were points where the story dragged alittle, before speeding up in the last forth of the book. I enjoyed the story quite a bit.
