Yet Love Remains by Mary Burchell HP c1975

Lauren Victoria
Format: Print Books

It was as though I had known you forever. No past or present or future. Just you and me and eternity.

People pass and things pass, yet love remains-the light by which we live, and the something which gives us courage when we die.

Helen and Sylvia were close friends- Helen had grown up in Sylvia's home after being orphaned. When Sylvia needed help to be released from her marriage to playwright Charles Lane, she called on Helen's assistance and after a set up Helen became co respondant in her divorce.

Ultimately Charles and Helen end up marrying, though after the wedding, Charles finds out about Helen and Sylvia's long friendship which froze their relationship.  His response to betrayal was rejection and a punishment was planned- that Helen accepted in principle in the quest for forgiveness.

Enjoyable and great characters.
