About Me

Grew up in Jersey, and yes, it's different from New Jersey. I grew up in the northeastern side by New York and if you really want to know "what exit", ask me. Married, moved to Pennsylvania and am now living in Maryland. I'm still married, was 20 years this June, have a 19 year old son (who i'm sure will make me bald or gray before he's 21) and am fighting a losing battle against having another dog. I teach a remedial reading class called Read 180 through Scholastic for grades 6-8 (middle school in the US). What that means is that most of my students are the lowest of the low. The look on a student's face when they finally read through a paragraph without stopping or struggling is amazing. In my spare time (Huh? What's that?) I love to write, cook (you should see my size! Oh wait! There's a pic of me...), craft, read, learn and last year have decided i love to go gem hunting! I'm also a fan of tv shows like Ghost Whisperer, Numb3rs, Moonlight, Criminal Minds. I can add in a few reality shows like Top Chef, Project Runway and Iron Chef America. My favorite kid show is Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader. Sometimes I'm smarter, other times...well, nevermind.
