Michelle Douglas: His Christmas Angel

challenge_name:

This was a very sweet Harlequin Romance. I thought the author captured the essence of the holiday season and what can make it so romantic. The conflict between the hero and heroine felt pretty genuine - you could imagine how hard the holidays would be for a window - espeically when an old flame comes back into her life.

Who Creamed Peaches, Anyway?

Who kept me up until 2am on a Sunday night, anyway?

Engaging Kieran by Helen Shelton (St. Elizabeth’s Children’s Hospital #14 -- Harlequin -- 2001)

challenge_name:

Fourteenth in the 16 book series that pre-launched (I think) the Harlequin Medical Romance line coming to NA.

Slow Burn by Julie Garwood

The Boyfriend League by Rachel Hawthorne (Harper Teen, 2007)

challenge_name:

A delightful story about a 17 year old girl who convinces her family to host a player during the summer collegiate baseball league so that she can find a boyfriend (but not the player they’re hosting -- she just means to hang out with him and meet the other players). Unfortunately, she and the player living under her parents’ roof hit it off straight away.

Lynsay Sands ~ Love Bites ~ The Argeneau Family series

The Marriage Miracle by Liz Fielding (March 2006)

challenge_name:

Characters - I liked both Matilda and Sebastion, in large part because they weren't perfect plastic people.  They struggled with Matilda's physical handicap and learning to be better people in terms of sharing and allowing themselves to be vulnerable emotionally.

Dialogue - The dialogue has moments that are fun and flirty but also so very poignant moments.

A Tough Man to Tame by Iris Johnson (Loveswept 1991)

challenge_name:

Characters - Mariana manages to be both feisty and vulnerable.  Louis is a strong alpha male whose difficult childhood also makes him very sensitive.  As for Mrs. Muggins, I wish I had a Mrs. Muggins.

Dialogue - Realistic and sometimes gritty.

Julie Cohen ~ MacAllister's Baby

This book was highly recommended by a couple, or few, bloggers last year and I was intrigued enough to buy it. And I’m glad that I did. What a great story about relationships ~ man and woman, teacher and student, person to person. And a great romance to boot.
