About Me

CATHIE LINZ is an award-winning, USA Today bestselling author of contemporary romances. Since leaving her career in a university law library, she has had over fifty romances published worldwide in nearly twenty languages. Cathie writes fast-paced, character-driven romances with lots of humor and dialogue. The Chicago Sun-Times describes her work as "charming" while Library Journal says her books are “Hilarious and heartwarming.” Her most recent books, GOOD GIRLS DO and BAD GIRLS DON’T and BIG GIRLS DON’T CRY all received starred reviews from Booklist. Cathie is also a contributor to the landmark book DANGEROUS MEN AND ADVENTUROUS WOMEN: ROMANCE WRITERS ON THE APPEAL OF THE ROMANCE. Cathie has spoken at numerous national writing conferences and she has given workshops about the romance genre to librarians around the country. Romantic Times has given Cathie its prestigious Storyteller of the Year Award as well as a Reviewers Choice Award. She's also been nominated for multiple Love and Laughter Awards and Best Series Author. In addition, Romance Writers of America recently made Cathie a lifetime honorary member. Cathie's earlier books are in hardcover, large-print by G.K. Hall/Thorndike Press. Cathie wishes she lived in the Alps or the Canadian Rockies. But she actually lives in the Chicago area with her family. Her adventures have taken her from the top of Swiss mountain peaks to Alaskan glaciers to the edge of the Grand Canyon, to name just a few. Along the way, she's taken photographs of everything from grizzly bears in the wild in Denali National Park in Alaska to cats and kittens she's rescued and found homes for, from glorious views in the Canadian Rockies to colorful flowers in her own garden.
