I'm married to a great guy, who wisely subscribes to the advice gleaned from a study which indicated that men are happier when they defer to their wives. All kidding aside, he's kind, intelligent, and easy-going. He's my rock. We're a geek family, having met on Compuserve through their CB simulator (what would now be called a chat room) several years before the internet, as such, existed, and we celebrated our 20th anniversary in 2007.

We have one daughter who just graduated from high school in 2008 (valedictorian!) and is college-bound this fall. She is bright and beautiful and spoiled rotten, as the only child of an only child (me). She does have a dog, two cats, and a chinchilla as her furry siblings, though.

I was born in Louisville and have lived here all my life. (Hubby is from Kansas City.) I got my B.A. and my M.B.A. from the University of Louisville (Go Cards!) and have worked there since 1974, first as a student assistant, later as the Director of Student Records, and, after my daughter was born, part-time mostly from home.

My daughter volunteers every week with the Shamrock Foundation, an animal rescue organization, at their cat adoption days. Hubby and I take most of the pictures of the cats and do most of the update on the adoptable cats on their website.

Aside from that, we love to have a laugh and spend time with friends and family.
