I started reading Harlequins as a teenager. My Mother used to read them and she got me hooked on them. When she died, she had all the Presents series starting with the first books and ending in the 1000. I now have most of them in boxes in my basement. Unfortunately some got lost in a flood in her basement.
I will not run out of reading material soon.
My first two favorite authors were Mary Burchell and Betty Neels. I think I have most of their original stories. Since then I have gained quite a few new favorites.
I used to read Regency Romances as well. I really liked The Love and Laughter line and Duets. (I have all of them in my basement as well.) I really like a book that makes me laugh. I don't have kids but like to read about them. The nearest thing to paranormal that I will read are cat mysteries. I don't like vampires or werewolves. I have started to try and read Canadian authors. It is always a treat when I discover a new one.
