About Me
Originally from Ohio, I work for the Centers for Disease Control in the area of Sexually Transmitted Disease. I have been in this field for 28 years and have worked in Georgia, Washington State and California. I believe my life-long reading started when I fled my mom's weekly top to bottom house cleaning sprees every Saturday and climbed the maple tree in the front yard with a book. I won the library's summer reading contest when I was 12 -- guess what the prize was? I still have my prized bookplate testimonial copy of "A Tale of Two Cities" I received for 1st place. My daily reading is such a habit, I confess I get a little "antsy" if I don't have several books in reserve for immediate consumption when I complete my current offering. It's baaaad.
