Southern gal and proud of it! I grew up outside of Nashville, where I lived most of my life. I'm now in E. TN just outside the Great Smoky Mountains. Married to (mostly darling, sometimes darn) Jeff since 2000. He's a respiratory therapist at a local hospital. I have a 23 year old stepdaughter, Haley. I also have several nieces and nephews, who I adore (and spoil rotten)!

I've recently (in 2008) begun a new career! I'm a sleep study tech at a private clinic. I have a degree from UT Knoxville (Go Vols!), but my specialty doesn't get reimbursed by insurance, so I went back to stage 1, having completed a certificate for polysomnography (sleep tech) school in July of 2008, then taking and passing my registry in March 2009!

I've been singing since I was a kid, and gotten to do some pretty cool things with it. I've been to S. Africa 4 times on mission trips as the song leader where I lead group worship and performed solo. I've also performed in DC at a conference, on cruise ships in talent shows, and in HS, got to sing with the Nashville Symphony (twice) and the Austin Peay St. University Symphony and Chorus. I can't count the weddings I've done, but wasn't able to sing at my own. (I was so happy I couldn't stop crying! Yes, that was happiness.) Karaoke is fun, 'cause I usually blow everyone away. :-D I guess I don't look like the sort of gal who can wail.

As for reading, I prefer romance (obvious?), especially when it's got a comedic sense about it. I love to laugh, so comedy is what I love in TV and movies, too. Life is serious enough without being serious all the time. However, I do love my CSI (Vegas and NY), Numbers, and Criminal Minds (of course, that has nothing to do with the hot guys on those shows... LOL!). Warehouse 13 on SyFy is a dramedy that is so great! (Tuesday nights at 9 p.m. eastern.)
