About Me

Southern gal and proud of it! I grew up outside of Nashville, where I lived most of my life. I'm now in E. TN just outside the Great Smoky Mountains. Married to (mostly darling, sometimes darn) Jeff since 2000. He's a respiratory therapist at a local hospital. I have a 21 year old stepdaughter, Haley. I also have several nieces and nephews, who I adore (and spoil rotten)! I'm currently in school (again!) to become a sleep study technologist, and I currently work part time as a stocker on my off-class days. Will be starting my clinical roatation in around a month, so I'll be quitting my job so I can concentrate on getting my clinicals done ASAP so I can find a job in my field! I also have a degree from UT Knoxville (Go Vols!), but my specialty doesn't get reimbursed by insurance, so I'm back at stage 1. I've been singing since I was a kid, and gotten to do some pretty cool things with it. I've been to S. Africa 4 times on mission trips as the song leader. I've also performed in DC at a conference, on cruise ships in talent shows, and in HS, got to sing with the Nashville Symphony and the Austin Peay St. University Symphony and Chorus. I can't count the weddings I've done, but wasn't able to sing at my own. (I was so happy I couldn't stop crying! Yes, that was happiness.) Karaoke is fun, 'cause I usually blow everyone away. :-D I guess I don't look like the sort of gal who can wail. As for reading, I prefer romance (obvious?), especially when it's got a comedic sense about it. I love to laugh, so comedy is what I love in TV and movies, too. Life is serious enough without being serious all the time. I typically hang out in the online read threads, in the Gal Pal Corral, and in the CSI thread.
