About Me

I grew up in Australia but have lived in the UK for 12 years now. I miss my family and the sunshine, but there are some compensations. Like the sense of history when I get to walk along the Thames or on cobbled streets in Cambridge, having Christmas when it's actually cold, and my English husband.. I've worked as a nurse or midwife for 30 years now (saying that makes me feel very very old), and though I've had plenty of exciting and adventurous nursing jobs I just can't imagine writing a Medical Romance- sadly the reality is a whole lot less romantic than the fantasy version! I'm spending all my spare time writing, after deciding that I was going to focus on one of my earliest dreams of becoming a published writer. Romance is a given- no point writing what I don't love reading. Writing romance is harder work but almost as much fun as reading them- especially the (ahem) more sensual; scenes! I just hope that eventually I will develop strong enough writing skills to convey to the reader all the emotions I experience as I'm writing.
