Paisley

My real name is Merri, from Merrimon, my grandmother's name.. I chose Paisley because I love the fabric pattern and it comes from Paisley Kumquat which was part of some silly nonsense stories my friends and I made up during dinner to amuse ourselves. I grew up in North Carolina and now live in Colorado. I have been a total book addict since I learned to read at age 6.

My other passion is ham radio. Oddly enough when I least expected it, I discovered true love on the air! I met my dh in 1998 on the air during a ham radio contest and after a 2 year courtship via Morse code, voice and telephone plus multiple trips back and forth between NC and Colorado, we were married 2 years later. We have 2 babies, a special needs boxer mix puppy turning adult named Hildegard ("Hildie") and a cat named Buddha, both shelter adoptees.
