I live in the South (USA), am from the Rocky Mountains, hate the heat but really, REALLY don't miss having to drive in the snow. I am a SAHM with not enough pets (used to have too many and know that dh prefers our current status). I joined the community in 2004, and despite a resolution to spend less time here in 2008, couldn't stay away. I became a Host in January 2009, moderating the Alternative Formats forums, which includes eBooks, Audio Books, and Podcasts. I became addicted to eBooks and audio books in 2007. DH wrote in our 2008 Holiday Letter, "Gave Penn an iPod Shuffle for Xmas 2006 and within 3 short months she had used it to become addicted to audio books. By autumn ‘07, she could no longer get a sufficient fix from the 1GB, screenless electronic miracle, so she upgraded (graduated?) to sterner stuff: a 3rd-gen iPod Nano. It was a slippery slope: she has also embraced (confiscated?) the PDA, but only b/c she can read e-books on it. The rest of us have tried to be supportive and even got her admitted to a world-class 12-step-program for this ‘story/book’ problem, but she refuses to get help. She even introduced her first-born to this obsession (f-b inherited the Shuffle, but listens to different books)." I think that the Digital Media boards should be a good fit for me, yes? Penn
